ECOLOGICAL PRESERVES
What Is an Ecological Preserve?
Our ecological preserves are important conservation properties and wonderful places to bring our community, but have constraints that limit public recreational uses. They may contain sensitive natural and/or cultural resources that limit public access in order to ensure their long-term protection and persistence. In other cases, these preserves may lack infrastructure, or have poor accessibility or road restrictions that prevent public activities. The primary activities on these preserves are stewardship and restoration.
