Evergreen Circle

Your Evergreen Circle gift enables the Land Trust to operate on the scale needed to protect the beautiful, wild and working lands of this million-acre county.

Evergreen Circle annual contributions of $1,000 or more empower Sonoma Land Trust to be a strong, effective and professional civic organization that has credibility with landowners, public agencies and large family foundations. This support enables us to execute land transactions that protect extraordinary places.

Benefits include the satisfaction of participating in the ongoing work to protect Sonoma County’s beautiful and healthy landscapes. Contributions at this level also include our quarterly newsletters, invitations to member hikes and invitations to special events and outings.

Summit Leadership Circle

The Summit Leadership Circle is a network of donors united by their significant commitment to preserve Sonoma County’s irreplaceable landscape that is the foundation of our quality of life.

Your Summit Leadership Circle annual contribution of $10,000 or more empowers Sonoma Land Trust to act quickly when opportunities arise to protect lands that are essential to our community’s character, health and well-being. Your gift gives the Land Trust the credibility it needs with landowners, public agencies and large family foundations to close land conservation deals. In addition, we are able to leverage your gifts to obtain large grants from public agencies and major family foundations to accomplish landscape-scale conservation.

Benefits include knowing that your generous gifts enable us to work on a scale commensurate with the challenge of protecting land in our million-acre county. In addition to receiving quarterly newsletters and invitations to hikes and outings, members of the Summit Leadership Circle receive invitations to an annual briefing with our executive director, confidential briefings and property tours, and other exclusive outings and events.

The Executive Director’s Circle

The Executive Director’s Circle is an exclusive group of dedicated supporters who commit $50,000 or more annually to give the organization the resources it needs to engage in large land acquisition deals, which, significantly, are often required to leverage large family foundation and government funds. An investment of this size helps enable us to act quickly when significant land protection and restoration opportunities arise, such as:

  • Land Protection: The acquisition of 5,630 acres at the Jenner Headlands and the adjacent 240 acres at the summit of Pole Mountain
  • Restoration: Bringing back nearly 1,000 acres of tidal wetlands at Sears Point and miles of steelhead spawning habitat on Stuart Creek in Glen Ellen
  • Collaboration: Assisting The Conservation Fund in the purchase of the 20,000-acre Buckeye Forest (formerly Preservation Ranch)

Benefits include knowing that your generous support enables us to work on a scale commensurate with the challenge of protecting land in our million-acre county. In addition to receiving quarterly newsletters and invitations to hikes and outings, members of the Executive Director’s Circle receive invitations to an annual briefing with our executive director, confidential briefings on our work and property tours, and other exclusive outings and events.
