Join storyteller and artist Eric Wilder for an introduction and concise history of the Kashia Band of Pomo Indians, followed by an overview of traditional storytelling practices. Eric will present historical narratives about birds and explore their cultural and symbolic significance to the Kashia people.

Eric Wilder is an artist specializing in graphic design and illustration. Rooted in the rich traditions of the Kashia Pomo people, he was trained early by his grandparents, Sidney and Essie Parrish, in traditional singing and storytelling. Eric is committed to sharing his heritage through his art, stories, and the practice of both traditional and contemporary native culture. He has also contributed as a consultant on historical texts and served as Tribal Secretary and Tribal Chairman on the Kashia Band of Pomo Indians Tribal Council.
