50th Anniversary Field Trip – Sonoma Coast

Free Event

SLT Office -- Trip to Sonoma Coast

Saturday, October 17, 10am-4pm

Level: Gentle

In the 1990s, Sonoma Land Trust, with funding from the State Coastal Conservancy, conducted a coastal parcel study focused on the area of the Sonoma Coast from the Estero Americano to the Russian River. In the ensuing three decades, we have accomplished many of our conservation goals set forth in that strategy. Join SLT staff and guest speakers on a tour of the Sonoma Coast and learn the stories of protecting the land. We’ll begin at the Estero Coastal Preserve and work our way up to the Russian River.

50th Anniversary Field Trips

Join Sonoma Land Trust on a series of regional tours throughout Sonoma County, highlighting 50 years of land conservation! We’ll visit a variety of protected lands that showcase our work throughout the landscape. We’ll hear from staff and special guest speakers, and get to see the land from perspectives not often seen.

These tours are designed to be accessible to people of all abilities. Transportation, lunch, and snacks provided. Plus, get special Sonoma Land Trust 50th Anniversary souvenirs!

Sonoma Land Trust’s Events & Outings connect people with our protected lands through hands-on learning, recreation, and exploration. Our goal is to share Sonoma County’s beauty, inspire future conservationists, and make nature accessible to all.
