50th Anniversary Field Trip – North County – Legacy Lands
Free Event
SLT Office -- Trip to North County
Saturday, November 14, 10am-4pm
Level: Gentle
In the early days of Sonoma Land Trust, we relied on gifts of land. Join us on a tour of north county, where we’ll visit a few of these properties, including Laufenburg Ranch in the Knights Valley, donated by Charlie Laufenburg in the late 80s, White Rock in the Geyserville area, and the 500-acre Live Oaks Ranch in the Mt. St. Helena foothills. We’ll be joined by Reta Lockert, SLT’s first employee, who knew these landowners and will share some stories and memories with us.
50th Anniversary Field Trips
Join Sonoma Land Trust on a series of regional tours throughout Sonoma County, highlighting 50 years of land conservation! We’ll visit a variety of protected lands that showcase our work throughout the landscape. We’ll hear from staff and special guest speakers, and get to see the land from perspectives not often seen.
These tours are designed to be accessible to people of all abilities. Transportation, lunch, and snacks provided. Plus, get special Sonoma Land Trust 50th Anniversary souvenirs!

Most of our preserves do not have restrooms available.

There is no charge for this event, which is made possible by the voters of Sonoma County who fund the work of Ag + Open Space with a quarter-cent sales tax.

Our Programming
Sonoma Land Trust’s Events & Outings connect people with our protected lands through hands-on learning, recreation, and exploration. Our goal is to share Sonoma County’s beauty, inspire future conservationists, and make nature accessible to all.
