Dear Assembly member/Senator :

As the Legislature begins to consider what should be included in the final state budget, I am writing to support the following funding levels for critical state programs:

$131 Million to the Wildlife Conservation Board to Protect and Enhance Fish and Wildlife Resources and Habitat and Improve Habitat Connectivity.
$37 Million to the Coastal Conservancy for Coastal Resilience, Restoration, and Dam Removal.
$6 Million to State Parks for the Sonoma Developmental Open Space Lands.

Additionally, I urge the Legislature to reject the proposal to eliminate open positions at the State Water Resources Control Board, State Parks, and the Department of Fish and Wildlife.

I also support the inclusion of funding to establish and sustain a statewide Wildlife Coexistence Program within CDFW and the preservation of the $35 Million Prescribed Fire Dedicated in the GGRF Wildfire Allocation.
